Privacy policy

ReplayReel is an independent app by Alfredo Artiles, an independent developer. The app does not collect, sell, or send your recordings to a server of our own.

Your connection to PostHog

Requests for projects, events, and recordings go directly from your device to the PostHog instance you choose. We do not run a backend that receives your sessions. The app has no analytics, tracking SDKs, or third-party crash reporting SDKs.

Credentials and device data

API keys and connection tokens are stored in your device’s Keychain. Removing a connection in Settings deletes its credentials and associated local data. You can also clear the cache in Settings.

People who appear in recordings

Recordings may contain personal information about your product’s users. You or your organization are responsible for having permission to access that information and using it in accordance with applicable law and your project’s policies. ReplayReel accesses PostHog in read-only mode.

External images, styles, and fonts

To reproduce a website’s original appearance, the player may request images, stylesheets, and fonts from the recorded site. That site may see your IP address. You can disable this in Settings → Load images and styles from the recorded site. Scripts from the recorded site do not run.

Diagnostics and purchases

If you have opted to share diagnostics in iOS, Apple may provide us with crash reports. Apple also processes purchases made through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.

This website

This website uses no cookies, browser storage, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. Visual assets and fonts are served without connecting to tracking services. Vercel, our hosting provider, may process technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the site. Vercel’s privacy policy.

Contact and privacy questions

Alfredo Artiles is responsible for ReplayReel and this website. If you email us, we use your email address and message to respond to your request, and retain them only as long as needed to resolve it or meet legal obligations. You can request information, access, or deletion by emailing help@papanoel.chat.
